A DISABLED charity is launching activity sessions in Sudbury.
Optua’s ‘Teaming Up’ sessions, which are returning for a second year and are funded by Suffolk County Council, start on Monday at Strikers Bowl in Byford Road and are for 18 to 25 year-olds with disabilities and additional needs.
The weekly sessions, which run from 6.30pm to 9pm for ten weeks, will include swimming, meals out and a Halloween party. ‘Teaming Up’ involves volunteers helping out with activities.
James Powell, from Optua, said: “The idea is to get people with disabilities and additional needs to get out and about more and get people aged 18 to 25 socialising and making friends.”
