Father Christmas prefers to use a sleigh to get home, but Sudbury supermarket workers will give Rudolf a rest as they look to cycle to Lapland.
Staff at Tesco in Springlands Way will join forces with colleagues across the country as they use pedal power to clock up enough miles to reach Lapland and raise £1million for Cancer Reasearch UK.
Workers will take turns on a static bike to complete the challenge from December 7 to 9.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for staff and customers to get involved in a festive fundraising event,” said Dan McNamee, from the town’s store.
“We can have fun and help support Cancer Research UK’s doctors, nurses and scientists beat cancer at the same time.”
Money raised will fund 32 early diagnosis projects.
