A Sudbury charity is celebrating after being chosen by Sainsbury’s as its local charity partner.

The link will see the Sudbury store helping to raise funds, find volunteers and help improve The Kernos Centre in Friars Street, which provides a variety of counselling services.

Chris Boatwright, director of counselling at the charity, said: “We are extremely excited and it couldn’t have come at a better time as we have no more funding in the pipeline.

“We no longer have funding to work with young people despite the growing demand and long waiting list.”
