With some primary and secondary schools closing for the summer holidays tomorrow, Babergh District Council has released details of its summer activities for children.
A mobile skate park is touring the district, giving youngsters the chance to have fun on bikes and scooters.
It will be at the village hall in Glemsford on July 29, from noon to 5pm, at the Cordell Road playing field in Long Melford on August 16, from 10am to 4pm, and on the playing fields in Homefields in Boxford on August 19, from 10am to 4pm.
The council’s sports development team has a programme of activities for children aged five to 16. Led by qualified coaches, they will take place at the Hadleigh and Kingfisher swimming pools and Sudbury and Great Cornard sports centres.
Football day camps are also being held and booking is essential on 01473 826622. The sessions are for boys and girls of all ages.
