This weekend some 300 assorted craft, including canoes, coracles and paddle boards, will take to the River Stour, to go from Sudbury to the sea.
Participants will traverse its length to the point where it meets the sea at Brantham.
Setting off from the Granary in Quay Lane there will be more than 500 assorted paddlers ranging in age from the young to some in their 70s.
Covering a distance of some 24.5 miles over the two days, participants will camp overnight at Rushbanks Farm in Wissington, before paddling onwards on Sunday morning, through Stratford St Mary, Dedham and Flatford.
The River Stour holds this event annually, not only to raise funds, but to ensure that the river is used, and the navigation maintained for the enjoyment of all.
The event is managed by volunteers, who are all members of the trust with members marshalling boats, running the campsite, logging in participants and checking them off as they work their way down the course.
