The Sudbury Advent Art Trail is a new initiative by Churches Together in Sudbury and District which will lead shoppers around town on a trail to find artwork relating to the Christmas story.

On January 7 all the art will be on display in St Peter’s , Sudbury. More information is available at Sudbury library.

During the display in St Peter’s members of the public will have the chance to vote for their favourite piece.

The two winning entries will be printed as Christmas cards for sale at Christmas 2017 and proceeds will go to Future Vision which works in local schools.

Organiser Gerry Higginson, chairman of Churches Together in Sudbury and District said: “This exciting initiative will offer people the opportunity to step aside from the hustle and bustle usually associated with the festive season and consider the real meaning of Christmas.”

Leaflets detailing the trail will be available from Sudbury Library, the town hall, No. 72 and Kingfisher Leisure Centre.

The event will be launched at Sudbury’s late night shopping night on Friday.
