Sudbury park homes plan dealt council blow

Proposals for 100 new houses on a Sudbury park were criticised by town councillors on Monday night.

Sudbury Town Council’s development committee recommended refusal to outline plans for 100 homes at Harp Close Meadow, also known as People’s Park, which have been submitted by the West Suffolk Hospital NHS Trust.

The council’s objections were based on the grounds of overdevelopment, traffic issues, flood risk from overland flow, loss of open space and wildlife habitats.
