Sudbury man, 20, faces drugs charge

A young man from Sudbury accused of Class A drug possession with intent to supply will have his case heard in the crown court.

Benjamin Joshua Clauson, 20, of East Street, Sudbury, gave no indication of a plea when he appeared at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

It is alleged he was found in possession of a quantity of cocaine in Great Cornard on March 11, which he had intended to supply to another.

He was released on conditional bail.

As part of the bail conditions the 20-year-old has been prohibited from contacting a named other, until his next court appearance which will be at Ipswich Crown Court on July 2.
