A leading business has joined the campaign to clean up Sudbury, sponsoring new litter pick equipment to be used by school children.

The agricultural and garden machinery specialist Ernest Doe has got involved with the company’s Sudbury store purchasing two litter handy hoops and six pairs of rigger gloves.

The firm bought the equipment, worth around £60, to help children in the local area get involved in the town-wide clean up.

Anton Bardell, parts manager at the firm, said a clean town was vital to attracting visitors.

He added: “We like to get involved in these projects. It’s a good way of helping the community.”
