Sudbury club gets its licence back

A Sudbury social club which was forced to close its doors in May was finally given permission to reopen yesterday (Thursday).

Northcroft Social Club, in The Croft, had its club premises certificate withdrawn by Babergh District Council after it held public music events and advertised them online.

After months of uncertainty for the club’s 200-plus members, the council’s licensing sub-committee approved a new licence yesterday.
