A SUDBURY choir group jetted off to Scandinavia on Thursday to visit and perform with some old friends.

The Stour Valley Singers are flying to Denmark to meet members of the Sletten Sangkor choir, who came to Sudbury and performed in St Peter’s two years ago.

The group, comprising 24 singers and eight friends and partners, will see the sights of Sudbury’s twin town Fredensborg and enjoy dinner with their hosts, before their joint concert tomorrow at Torpen Kapel Church in nearby Humlebaek.

Stour Valley Singers committee member Janet Penfold said: “We are very excited because they were such a super crowd when they came over to Sudbury – they were great fun.”
