Stowmarket fire crews were drafted in to tackle what service chiefs are calling a “serious” blaze in Ipswich this afternoon.
Some units remain at the scene of the incident in Grinwade Street, which was reported shortly before 4pm today.
At its height, 10 fire engines, including one from Stowmarket, were at the scene.
The Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said: “We are currently attending a serious fire incident in Ipswich town, with various appliances in attendance.”
Elsewhere, Stowmarket units were sent to deal with a bin fire in the town’s Gun Cotton Way yesterday afternoon.
The blaze broke out shortly before 2pm on Saturday.
