STAFF at a Sudbury travel firm are making a big effort to relay their good luck wishes to British athletes taking part in the Olympics next year.

A greetings card wishing Team GB luck is being raced across the country to all of the travel firm’s stores – and it arrived in Sudbury’s Thomas Cook branch in North Street on Tuesday.

The company is aiming to get all 19,000 staff in the UK and Ireland to sign it.

Sudbury workers Nicola Rolph, Shirley Lesiak and Kelly Aby added their signatures to the card after it was delivered by Jenny, a member of staff who is running with the card from store to store, completing the Suffolk and Essex leg of the race in November.

Regional manager Clare Cranfield said: “The team has really got behind the challenge to wish Team GB good luck for next year.

“It’s going to require a real team effort and some sweat from Jenny in particular.”
