An exhibition displaying wedding dresses from the 1920s to the modern day is to be held at a local wedding fayre in aid of charity.

The exhibition will be part of a fayre held at Stoke by Nayland Hotel Golf and Spa.

“I hope it will be of interest to all age groups,” said organiser Sharon Donaldson.

“Nostalgia for some and inspiration for today’s brides.”

Entrance to the fayre, which includes entrance to the exhibition, is £1.50, with 50p going to Cancer Research UK.

Mr Donaldson decided to hold the event for the charity as her best friend died from cancer four years ago.

“I think everyone knows someone with cancer,” she said.

“And it’s just such a good cause.”

The fayre is on from 11am to 4pm, with the 35 wedding suppliers displaying their products and two fashion shows on the day.
