Snooker loopy

A SNOOKER marathon took place in Long Melford on Friday.

Ron Croft, Allan Seamark, Brian Murcott and Colin Newman played for 24 hours to raise money for the Royal British Legion.

Earlier in the month, the main street in Long Melford hosted a tombola and cake stall, while a wheelbarrow full of drinks was raffled off and won by Ian Steward, raising £305.

The Long Melford branch of the legion, which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, would like to thank all those who supported both events.
