AN investigation into an alleged sexual assault by a 13-year-old boy in Great Cornard is continuing.
Police were called to an alleyway between houses in Minsmere Way and Rede Way after reports of a sexual assault on March 8.
Officers subsequently arrested a teenager from Great Cornard on suspicion of sexual assault and took him to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning, before he was later released on bailed.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk Police said the boy returned to the centre on Wednesday when he had his bailed extended until May 20.
She said the investigation continued “pending further inquiries”.
