Ms Reardon decided to take the plunge and open Cafe Jaqui following the break-up of her marriage, admitting that she was something of a “bored housewife”.
Now she has been named owner of the best cafe by the Free Press and puts her success down to “good, simple food” and “personal friendly service”.
She serves up a range of delicious dishes, with specials including home-made chillis, a selection of pies and a range of all-day cooked breakfasts.
“We serve generous portions of locally-sourced food,” said Ms Reardon.
“It’s good-quality, down-to-earth food, plain and simple – I think that’s what people like.”
She knows most of her customers by name.
