The Ormiston Sudbury Academy Close Harmony Choir is to perform at a carol service in London.

After performing at the Academy’s Remembrance Festival this year, they were approached to perform at Long Melford Church’s Remembrance Festival in front of more than 500 people, receiving high praise.

Now the choir, run by Miss Conway-Jarrett, has been requested to attend the Christmas Carol Service put on by Lloyds Register, the global engineering, technical and business services organisation, in London on December 21.

Mr Cox, head of the performance faculty, said: “I am so proud that our Close Harmony Choir, who were only formed last year, have already reached a standard high enough to perform at such a prestigious event.”
