A school in Nayland is asking its alumni to help rebuild its archives in time for its 75th anniversary.

Littlegarth School celebrates its anniversary in January and headmaster Peter Jones would like any photos, memories and stories to be shared after much of the school’s archives were lost 20 years ago.

When the independent school moved to Horkesley Park in Nayland from Dedham in 1994, a flood destroyed archive records dating back 50 years.

“As we plan to celebrate our 75th year, we would like to reach out to former pupils in the hope that we can restore an archive of information and artefacts that will help our children understand the history of the school,” said Mr Jones.

“The children are keen to build their knowledge of the history of the school and would appreciate any help people can provide.”

If you can help, contact Mr Jones on 01206 262332 or email office@littlegarth.essex.sch.uk.
