Sainsbury’s Local Charity of the Year scheme is back and the Sudbury store is looking for a new charity to support from the Sudbury and Cornard area.

Sainsbury’s stores will make a shortlist of charities for customers to vote for.

The winning charity will then receive a year of support from the store, which includes fundraising and awareness. Customers can vote between June 13-26 in stores and online.

Laura Payne, store manager of Sainsbury’s Sudbury, said: “There are so many fantastic charities in the local area who do brilliant work in our community. We’d love to hear from charities we haven’t supported before.”

To apply, register your interest at the customer service desk at the store, Cornard Road, Sudbury.

The nominations close on May 9.
