THE Queen’s seal of approval is something worth celebrating and a Hadleigh firm has enjoyed the honour twice over.

Plant Parts in Crockatt Road was presented with The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the category for International Trade.

The award is seen as one of the most prestigious accolades a business in the UK can receive.

It is the second successive year the company, which sells and reconditions construction machinery, has been given the honour after picking up the same award in 2011.

During the last year, around 70 per cent of Plant Parts sales were to export markets.

The firm, which has been trading in Hadleigh for 20 years and employs 15 people, held a lunch to celebrate the award.

Managing director Richard Finch said: “I am thrilled to win the award. This is a huge achievement for everyone here and is a reflection of the hard work and dedication given by the staff every day.”

As part of the award, the company will attend a reception at Buckingham Palace later in the year.
