Residents and staff from Devonshire House Care Home in Cavendish enjoyed a vintage performance of classic Beatles songs to mark Dementia Awareness Week.
It wasn’t the Fab Four belting out the well-known tunes but a one woman show called ‘Love Me Do’ by Cats Pyjamas Productions.
Devonshire House residents were rockin’ and rollin’ as residents sang along and even took to the dance floor as the music brought back memories of the Swinging Sixties.
Care home manager Lorraine Hodges said: “The number of people living with dementia in the UK is growing. Music is just one way of helping people to reminisce and familiar tunes can trigger memories of times gone by which, in turn, is a boost to our residents’ wellbeing.”
