A mental health charity has marked more than 20 years of providing mental health recovery services in Sudbury. Richmond Fellowship, part of Recovery Focus, provides community and supported housing services in the area.

The anniversary event in St Peter’s, Sudbury, fell during Mental Health Awareness Week. More than 20 local partners and charities exhibited at the event, which included a pop-up café, art exhibition and other creative activities.

The local peer support chit chat group, run by people who have used Richmond Fellowship’s services, were also on hand to offer advice and a natter.

Sudbury mayor Sue Ayres and South Suffolk MP James Cartlidge attended.

Matt Webb, Sudbury’s community link worker, said: “It was great to see so many former staff, people who use our service and members of the public come out and support the work we do in the local community.

“Events like this shine a spotlight on mental health recovery locally and show how important our service’s integration into the community is.”
