SUDBURY’S reward card scheme, launched to encourage people to support the town’s shops and those in nearby villages, is celebrating its first anniversary.
The scheme, which is promoted by Sudbury Market Town Partnership, has a total of 38 businesses offering incentives or discounts to shoppers, and holds a monthly prize draw for members.
Scheme retailers and businesses, as well as anyone else interested in joining the scheme, have been invited to a networking evening at Newton Green Golf Club tomorrow at 6.30pm.
“This will be an opportunity for local retailers to enjoy a glass of wine and offer a unique networking opportunity to discuss ideas for the future of the scheme,” said partnership chairman Lesley Ford-Platt.
“Any other independent businesses in Sudbury, Long Melford or other nearby villages are invited to come along to the meeting to learn more about the reward card scheme and to hear from some keynotes speakers about their experience of maximising its effect.”
Anyone interested in attending is invited to contact project manager Jane Hatton on 07852 123393 or Lesley Ford-Platt on 07947 335252 to reserve a place.
The winner of the April prize draw – a £40 voucher from Compact Music of North Street, Sudbury – was Ms P Elliot, of Sudbury. The May prize is tea for two at Tiffins Tea Room, in Long Melford.
