More than 200 residents enjoyed a taste of Spain in the middle of Glemsford at the May Olé family fun day last Sunday.

Held at the social club, activities included a bucking bronco, demonstrations from flamenco dancers, piñatas and plenty of Spanish-themed food and drinks.

Fiona Dinning-Cole, who organised the event along with the Glemsford Angels group, said: “The sun shone and about 200 people turned up to enjoy the tortillas, paella, sangria and margaritas. The fancy dress was won by Maya Bryan, who won the adoption of a donkey for a year.”
