Daws Hall nature reserve in Lamarsh opened to the public at the weekend to help raise money for the Holy Innocents Church and the village hall.

The hall hosted a village fete on Saturday, with proceeds split between the two causes, and fully opened its gardens and grounds on Sunday, with money raised going to the church.

Major Iain Grahame, owner of the hall, said: “We had a good number of people come along and everybody who visited was very complimentary about what they saw.”
