ADVENTUROUS real ale and cider drinkers are being spoilt for choice at a Sudbury pub.

The Grover & Allen in North Street has a selection of 30 beers and ciders on offer as part of its beer festival, which started on Wednesday.

Among the selection are five American beers brewed in the UK, speciality beers with interesting ingredients such as fruit, spices and honey, and beers no longer brewed, but which have been resurrected for the event.

Chris Layzell, the pub’s manager, said the festival had created a lot of interest.

“Lots of people have been asking about it and it raises awareness of the superb beers and ciders which are available at the moment.

“We have noticed a few of the younger crowd are trying the more traditional ales as well, and this is a great opportunity for people to try something different.”

Customers can sample any three beers in special third-of-a-pint glass for the price of a pint.

The festival runs until October 23.
