Ram raid at Glemsford post office

A cash machine was ripped from the inside of a Glemsford post office following a ram raid.

At around 4.30am on Sunday morning raiders used a stolen dark blue Toyota Hilux to force their way into Broadway Stores in Fair Green.

Once inside a stand-alone cash machine was dragged out using a pice of rope the offenders left the scene in a second vehicle, described as dark in colour.

The suspects are described as two men, of stocky. Both were wearing dark clothing and balaclavas.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the break-in.

A Suffolk police spokeswoman said: “Officers are currently making enquiries such as viewing CCTV and speaking to people in the local area.”
