NAYLAND’S only pub, the Anchor Inn, closed this week for a full refurbishment.
The work will be carried out by the 15th century pub’s owners Exclusive Inns, which took over the Anchor in February. It also owns The Angel in Stoke-by-Nayland.
The firm’s operations manager James Haggar said: “We are revamping the building inside and out and the food we serve will have a new look as well.
“We look forward to re-opening the first week in May.”
