A popular Sunday bus service that connects Hadleigh to Ipswich has been extended following a successful trial.

Two additional journeys on the Hadleigh to Ipswich number 90 service – first launched in August – have been extended until March 2015, doubling the amount of services to the town.

The route will also link-up with a service from Ipswich to Shotley, which has also had a successful trial.

Both services are being run by Hadleigh Community Transport Group.

Group manager Joy Moran said: “The new services have proved to be very popular, so we are delighted to have been awarded the contract to continue running them until the end of March next year and hopefully beyond.

“The service offers the people of Suffolk another way to get out and about and explore the local beauty and attractions on their doorstep.”
