Police hunt muggers

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked in Long Melford.

A 22-year-old man was walking along Hall Street at around 11.30pm on Saturday when the attack took place.

He lost consciousness, and when he came round he discovered his keys and mobile phone were missing.

The man, who suffered a black eye and loose teeth as a result of the incident, then walked to a place of safety in Foxearth.

A group of people were seen in the area at the time of the attack and police want to speak to anyone who was in Hall Street and may have witnessed a disturbance.
