Developers behind housing plans for a Long Melford site have pledged they will take account of concerns over the design.
SB2 Property wants to build 33 houses and a retirement home on land behind Hall Street in Long Melford and has been through an extensive design and consultation process, including a recent public exhibition of the plans.
Tim Struth, director of SB2 Property, said: “The designs presented at the May exhibition showed high level layouts and initial elevation designs. We have started to develop those elements further together with the designs for the shared spaces and landscaped areas drawing on the myriad attractive local features.
“We’ve also arranged a meeting with members of the local community, so that we can answer specific concerns and queries about how the proposals have been developed and how we have responded to the many competing views and opinions that have been expressed to us throughout the extensive consultation process.
“We will be taking account of further comments coming from this second public exhibition.”
As reported in last week’s Free Press, some concerns remain about the design of the houses, on the site formerly known as the Fleetwood Caravans site.
