SUDBURY shoppers will be able to get free vegetable seeds in town tomorrow.
Members of the town’s environmental group Transition Sudbury will be giving away the seeds at the farmers’ market in St Peter’s, on Market Hill, between 9.30am and 1pm.
The seeds are being given away to encourage more people to grow their own and are being funded by Waitrose.
The group will also be staging two free film shows at Sudbury Upper School, in Tudor Road, at 4.30pm today, and at Great Cornard Upper School, in Head Lane, on Thursday at 4pm.
The film, called 300 years of Fossil Fuels in 300 Seconds, shows how fossil fuels have been the driving force behind industrialisation.
St Peter’s is the venue for a swap shop on Saturday, March 10, from 10am to 12.30pm, when people can bring unwanted books, toys, crockery, music and garden equipment to be swapped or given away for free.
