THE campaign to save Clare Library from closure will be taken to the streets of the town this weekend.
Shoppers will be urged to sign a petition against the closure of the library at The Guildhall, High Street, which is due to Suffolk County Council budget cuts.
Campaigners will be on Market Hill tomorrow and Saturday, between 10am and 3pm, to collect more signatures to add to the 100-plus already on the petition.
A public meeting is being held on March 11 at the Old School Community Centre, in Callis Street, to discuss the issue. County council library officials have been invited to attend the meeting, as well as parish councillors from surrounding villages.
