Organisers of the Sudbury Festival of Performing Arts are preparing for next year’s event, with the syllabus now available from the Tourist Information Office.

Dan Hunt, a fine art and performing arts student in Year 13 at Ormiston Sudbury Academy, designed the front cover of the syllabus, also available from Compact Music in North Street.

Now in its 93rd year, Sudbury Festival of Performing Arts kicks off in February with the dance section at Ormiston Sudbury Academy.

Music and speech and drama sections take place at the Delphi Club in Newton Road in March.

Festival chairman Jan Osborne said: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank Dan for his wonderful cover design.

“The festival welcomes talented people from all age groups, some are experienced performers, but we welcome those who wish to enter for the first time.”

She said she would like to encourage more schools to enter.

The closing date for entries is November 8, and there is a discount rate for entries submitted before November 1.

Organisers are looking for more volunteers to help. Contact Jan on 01787 466096.
