Great Cornard Parish Council’s manager of the last 13 years, Michael Fitt, is to retire at the end of October, following his 65th Birthday.

The news was given by chairman Pam White at the recent council meeting. In response, on behalf of the council Tony Bavington thanked Mr Fitt for his long and excellent service and wished him a long and happy retirement.

In his letter to the chairman, Mr Fitt thanked a number of councillors, both past and present, whose support and encouragement he had greatly valued. He also thanked the deputy clerk, Nadine Tamlyn, for her support over the years.
