The winner of the Free Press’ baby and toddler competition is set for a glittering career in front of the camera after securing a national modelling contract.
Livvy Barnes, a 15-month old girl from Long Melford, was voted our winner by readers in September.
She went on to do some photo shoots with Vanessa Layton, of Sudbury photography company Bella Rose, before being spotted by Norwich and Colchester-based agency Talent Management and invited for a meeting.
“I got a call back to say she’s been offered a three-year contract,” said Livvy’s mum Amy Lovering, a trainee nurse at Melford Court care home.
“She will be working nationally on magazines, catalogues, television, photography and promotional projects. Her dad Shane and I are both very proud. People ask how we got her into it but it has just been luck and word of mouth.”
Miss Lovering is keen to ensure the success does not go to little Livvy’s head and said she was being careful when choosing the jobs she allows her daughter to do.
“She had a casting for Matalan but she was just too small,” she said. “I was also approached by the Toddlers and Tiaras TV programme but turned it down, it’s not for us.
“If she had a bad day, you couldn’t do it, but she loves it.”
