A MAN who cycled naked through his home village has been found guilty of causing alarm and distress.
Alexander Purser, of Vicarage Lane, Acton, was convicted of using threatening words or behaviour, likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old had denied any wrongdoing following the stunt on June 7 last year when he cycled through the village wearing only a pair of trainers and spectacles.
But he admitted to police officers who visited his home on August 25 that he had been the cyclist seen riding naked.
Purser was handed an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay costs of £500.
