What an adventure for Tigger the tabby cat who got herself a bird’s eye view of Sudbury town centre.
The intrepid moggy climbed up a telegraph pole behind North Street Tavern in Girling Street and could not get down again.
Firefighters were called and an extra-long ladder was raised to snatch the cat from the top.
Meanwhile, a crowd of shoppers, including Roger Griffiths who took these photos, gathered to watch.
He said: “The poor little thing was up incredibly high; I don’t know how she got there in the first place. The fireman just had to grab her and he looked relieved.”
