A POPULAR village pub has reopened following a change of ownership.
The Crown in Wormingford had been closed for three weeks as new owners Simeon Rains and Jeanette Richardson prepared for business.
The pub will offer freshly baked bread and a range of cheeses every day as the owners look to increase the amount of fresh produce available.
Jeanette said: “Our aim is to make The Crown a place which villagers consider their second home and where customers from further afield will look forward to visiting.”
Simeon added: “We want The Crown to be a central part of village life. All our dishes will be freshly prepared using locally-sourced ingredients.”
The new head chef is Stephen Tyler, who has previously worked in catering at both Lords and The Oval cricket grounds.
