A NEW bus shelter is to be built in Stoke-by-Nayland – because the existing one cannot be seen by bus drivers.
Parish councillors approved a new £4,000 brick shelter to be built on the corner of The Blundens and Sudbury Road. The existing shelter will be demolished.
It will be used by villagers waiting for the 84 bus which runs from Sudbury to Colchester.
The original shelter was built further down The Blundens and not on the main road because, in the past, the bus used to reverse into The Blundens.
