NAYLAND is set to stage its second village festival with a range of features focusing on local food, music and community talent.
The festival begins on Friday, July 1, when the Village Players present Go West!, a celebration of western musicals and country songs in the village hall.
On Saturday, the programme begins with a duck race in the Fen Street mill stream at 1pm before the action switches to Webb’s Meadow for the afternoon and evening events.
Local producers will be there with a wide range of food stalls and three chefs are taking part in a Ready, Steady, Cook-style competition to prepare the best meal reflecting the region.
During the afternoon young people and groups from schools will perform while music continues into the evening with six bands playing jazz, blues, progressive, rock, soul and funk.
