Desperate dog owners were thrilled to find their pet lurcher last night after it escaped from boarding kennels in Wattisham while they were on holiday.
The dog, named Hodge, went missing on Monday, March 31, and had been spotted in the villages of Ringshall, Great Bricett, Barking and at Wattisham Airfield.
The last sighting had been in Elmsett on Saturday evening and the couple even heard reports of a dog matching the description of their own on the loose as far away as the A143 at Diss.
Hodge was found late last night (Wednesday) – 14 miles away in Stratford St Mary.
Owner Clare Clegg said: “He was very sore pawed and thin, but otherwise OK.”
