AFC Sudbury ended a run of three successive home Ryman League Division One North defeats with a 2-1 victory over Burnham Ramblers on Tuesday.

Terry Rymer scored his first goal for the club in the first half, but later went off with a hamstring injury and may be out for four weeks.

James Baker made it two in the second half, with Ramblers pulling one back in injury time.

This was AFC’s first home league victory since beating Wroxham 1-0 on August 12.

Cornard United are still looking for their first Thurlow Nunn League First Division win of the season.

Paul Grainger’s side went down 2-1 at home to leaders Saffron Walden Town.
