Sales of a village calendar produced to help a severely disabled youngster have reached the £700 figure needed to buy a specially adapted swing.

Teresa Poole decided to produce and sell the calendar of Long Melford alongside Lynda Sebbage to help buy Megan, seven, a swing that she can use while in her wheelchair.

The swing will be bought in the spring to go outside Megan’s home in the village.

Mrs Sebbage said: “It’s a fantastic result. We are very grateful to everybody who has supported the project.

“It’s so great to be able to give back to the local community.”
