Megan’s fund still rising

FUNDRAISING for four-year-old Megan Roper, of Long Melford, who suffers with convulsions which have left her unable to walk, talk or sit up, continues this weekend with a boot fair.

Her parents Sarah and Carl are trying to raise £20,000 to convert a bedroom and install a lift at their home, so Megan can sleep upstairs.

They have organised a series of fundraising events including a pub quiz and friends are doing a skydive to raise money.

The car boot sale is on Saturday, June 25, at the Highbury Barn, Canhams Road, Great Cornard, from 8am to noon. Anyone wanting a table can book one for £8 and will need to call Glenn Andrews on 07738 285415. Entrance fee is £1.

Megan has suffered from convulsions since she was born and is a patient of Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. Friends and family have raised a total of £1,650 to date.
