Man trapped under vehicle after collision in Sudbury

A man was left trapped under a 4x4 after a collision during rush hour in Sudbury this morning (Thursday).

Police were called to the incident in Girling Street at 8.50am where a man was lying trapped under a green Land Rover Discovery.

The 49-year-old man from Bildeston was treated at the scene by ambulance crews for pelvic and hip injuries before being taken by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

Girling Street was reopened at 11.45am.
