A 33-year-old man has appeared before a judge charged with involvement in managing a brothel in Sudbury.

Razvan Ursu is alleged to have committed the offence at an address in Lucas Road, Sudbury, and at premises in Ipswich and Colchester.

Today (November 10) Ursu, who lives in Preston, appeared before Judge David Goodin at Ipswich Crown Court via a video link from HMP Preston where he is being held.

Ursu is alleged to have conspired to manage or assist in the management of a brothel.

He is also charged with money laundering.

The offences are alleged to have been committed between October 12, 2012, and July 1, 2014.

Judge Goodin told Ursu that his next court appearance will be for a plea and case management hearing on January 7. He will continue to be remanded in custody until then.
