A MAN was taken to hospital with head and chest injuries after a crash in Great Waldingfield last Thursday.
Emergency services were called at 10.10am following a collision between a silver Ford Focus and a van on the B1115.
A police spokeswoman said: “Officers arrived to find the three casualties out of their vehicles. A 49-year-old man had a cut to his head and was unconscious but breathing.
“The air ambulance arrived but crews did not consider the man’s injuries to be life-threatening, although he did suffer a possible fractured sternum.”
He was taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds by land ambulance.
A woman and a child were also hurt in the crash, although no details of their injuries were reported.
The road was closed for a short period while the scene was cleared.
