A young campaigner is leading by example in his plans to clean up an industrial estate.

Ethan Head recently collected a full bag of rubbish from the Chilton Industrial Estate in 20 minutes when out walking his dog.

The seven-year-old is a community spirited individual and has undertaken similar schemes before.

Now he is hoping for permanent action and is writing a letter to Chilton Parish Council to request a bin is put in to stop the littering at its source.

Ethan’s mother Laura Head said: “On a 20 minute dog walk up Chiton he collected a whole carrier bag of rubbish. The council really needs to put a bin up there.”

This weekend Ethan, who lives in The Hawthorns, Sudbury, took part in the ‘Clean for the Queen’ event in Sudbury, organised by Sudbury Town Council and Sudbury Tesco.

In total 38 rubbish bags were filled during the two-hour event to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.
